Jesus said, "I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness" (John 10:10).
At Herringthorpe URC, we are passionate about Jesus and the fullness of life He offers us! Our vision is for our whole community to discover this new life and centre their lives upon Jesus.
We meet for worship every Sunday at 10.30am, and we have groups for children and young people. Our services are Jesus-focussed, Bible-based and include a blend of both contemporary worship songs and more traditional hymns led by piano and band.
During the week, we have a whole range of groups and meetings for all ages. For children, this includes Messy Church, Cheeky Chicks Parent and Toddler Group, Hi5 Club, Kids Club, Youth Club, and uniformed organisations. For adults, this includes regular Bible Study and House Groups, social/friendship groups, and the Meet & Eat Café. More details can be found on the 'What's On' and 'Latest News' pages above.
We hope you find our website helpful and look forward to meeting you!
***CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - JANUARY 2021***
Online worship: We are continuing to send out our Sunday worship as a video on YouTube each week, and we also produce a mid-week Bible reflection. If you would like to receive these, please email us here, visit our Facebook page or see our YouTube channel. In addition, we are also celebrating Communion monthly, and Cafe-style worship most weeks, on Zoom - please contact Matt for more details. All are welcome to join us.
In-person worship & other activities:
We're not holding services or running groups for adults or children in the building whilst we are in national lockdown. The Prayer Meeting, Bible Study and House Groups are all meeting on Zoom. We are also providing free weekly Bible story craft and activity bags for primary-school aged children, and have an online Half Term Holiday Club planned! - please contact Lu for more details.
