The Windermere Centre, situated in the Lake District,

is the residential training centre for the United Reformed Church.  This delightful Lakeland stone house – formerly the manse of Carver Church – is set on the edge of Windermere village and has accommodation

for 33 people in 22 en-suite bedrooms. 

The Centre has a comfortable lounge with television and video, a library, bookshop, bar, dining room and fully-equipped conference room.  Our

peaceful Garden Room provides the ideal place for prayer and reflection. 

The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and the staff is caring and helpful.   Whether you’re taking part in one of the cutting-edge courses on the programme, exploring mission in a local context with your church, or simply here as a guest spending time in the Lake District the Windermere Centre is YOUR place - just click onphotograph for more information 

The Boaters Christian Fellowship

Better known as the BCF, is a group of Christians who appreciate the inland waterways.  BCF was formed in 1995 and now has more than 650 members, with more than 300 privately owned boats, although owning a boat is not a condition of membership. We have members who hire, some who live near

 a canal, some who crew on other members boats, and some who even live abroad,. We are from all denominations and we only ask that members

support our aims. New members are joining weekly. 

We are members of IWA (Inland Waterways Association) and AWCC (Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs) and we are a registered charity No 1101100  The aims of the BCF are Fellowship, Worship and Witness.
