FELLOWSHIP GROUP
-------------------------------------------------------------
What do we sing? Many of the well known Classical Choral Masterpieces
and some of the lesser well known, but still enjoyable ones.
What is our annual programme? Two major classical concerts each year (Autumn and Spring) and two lighter concerts of seasonal music
(Christmas and Summer).
Where do we rehearse? In Herringthorpe United Reformed Church -
a good sized, comfortably seated hall which also houses a grand piano.
The Church is set back from the road, with ample parking space in front of it.
What does it cost to join? As we need to pay for hiring the hall each week
plus the costs of our excellent Conductor (Rachel Copley) and very talented Accompanist (Nigel Gyte) as well as other necessary subscriptions and insurances, we need make a charge each term of
Adults - £30, Concessions - £25, and full time students - £10.
Term 1 is September to December. Term 2 is January to Easter. Term 3 is
May and June (usually with a reduction in the fee).
Are music copies provided? Usually we hire these from a library and members pay a nominal charge to borrow them. However, as most members own their own copy of ‘Messiah’ we just have a few spare copies that can be borrowed.
Why not come and join us? If in doubt you can try us out for a couple of rehearsals free!
